In the craziness that seems to surround every weekend of December, we decided, inspired by another blogger, to make time to do a little craft as a family. Between the choir singing and the Christmas parade, we spent relatively little time just being together, and this tealight candleholder craft was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. We used sculpey to shape the holders, then they were baked. After some cooling time, we painted them with tempura paints, which took longer to dry than I expected so the glitter wasn't placed until Sunday afternoon. The lighting debuted last night at dinner. (I was less than prepared for that part, obviously, since Finn's holder is lacking a candle. Fortunately, the painting was the only part he really cared about.)

I love em, Joy. This is a good idea that I may have to borrow! ;)
