My favorite kind of summer weekend: the kind where you do lots of things, but not much of anything at all. Being stuck at home all weekend when I'm on-call for work can be tedious, or industrious, depending on how we choose to look at it.
We dyed a silk scarf with blackberry juice...
We played lots of board games...
some on the makeshift cushion-table that the kids invented.
We rode bikes with the neighborhood kids...
met a neighbor's brand new puppy...
and got locked in the kennel by a big sister.
We made blackberry jam as a crew...
and only fought a little over the coveted processor task.
Then we had a movie night, Finn's first. Shaggy Dog (1959 edition, of course)
lOL! love the kennel pic! Cute puppy, I bet the kids loved it. Thanks for the blackberry jam tip, I have that brand in my cabinet now. Just need to READ it.

LOL, I love the expression on Finn's face in the photo where the kids are playing a game on the floor. He just seems to be such a HAPPY child. :)
