Although the elephant (formerly worn by both Elizabeth and Philip) quite enjoyed trick-or-treating last night,
by the time we hit just a few houses,
he was content to sit on the porch and eat some organic gummy bears while watching the other trick-or-treaters.
After we returned home and bathed Finn, complete with Halloween tattoo application, he eagerly climbed into bed to wait to see what the Halloween Fairy would leave in exchange for his gathered candy.
This morning, Finn's basket was emptied of the previous night's loot, save a Halloween pencil and second tattoo, and filled with a bag, a mini notebook and some Halloween colored pencils from Stubby Pencil Studio.
The bag, well, it held a mystery.
Finn's favorite nursery rhyme song is Three Blind Mice (you can see him singing it here), and after finding a set of wooden blind mice from mamaroots, we knew it would be the perfect Halloween Fairy gift for him.
He also enjoyed the pencils and pad. :)
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend!
Halloween Fairy! What a great idea! I was trying to think of how to exchange her junky candy for something good. Next year we will definitely think about this option! He looks so cute. Glad you had fun!
ReplyDeletePerfect! He looked so cute as a little elephant!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the smile on his face in the photo where he's looking at the mice. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI am hearing about this Halloween Fairy all over blogland for the first time! What a great idea! I wonder if mine are too old to invite this wonderful fairy to our house! I love it when costumes get so much use!

That is the sweetest elephant I have ever seen. The sugar plum fairy visits our home every Halloween night as well (our kids have celiac and can't eat any kind of standard candy, so they at least have something special)
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you had a nice holiday
The Hallowe'en fairy visited our house as well. It's my only saving grace for the amount of candy that they brought home. My daughter is 9 1/2 and still loves the fairy that brings her a special gift the next morning.
ReplyDeleteEverything you do is fun and original...I'm always so impressed! Finn never fails to mkake me smile, he makes the cutest elephant ever!! I just love your photos...
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of the Halloween fairy---I just love that idea!
