Alas, about 3 years ago we had a baby boy and now that baby is a preschooler who really should be in a big boy bed by now, so we will be making up for our lack of moving furniture by moving plenty of furniture and swapping kids' rooms around this weekend. Big changes. I think I'm ready.
In honor of Finn's new move to the big boy bed, I'm making him a little something special out of this super cute Japanese-import fabric from Superbuzzy. You'll have to tune back in to see how it goes!
And from Finn:
"Look, Mommy! My guys are holding hands...cause they're friends."
Oh, change is GOOD. And I can't believe you've been able to keep him in a crib this long! Grady spent some time in JH's crib today for fun, but he started banging into the bars like a circus animal and yelling about "yampires"-- wonder where he heard that one?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Melissa...change is good! Can't wait to see what you make with that fabulous fabric. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yay! Can't wait to see what you make! Kaulini hasn't slept in her big girl bed since we moved but I am hoping that painting her room and making her a new flannel duvet and pillowcase will help her want to go back to her bed and room *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteWe make a good yin yang. I am addicted to change (hence the vagabond lifestyle)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how it all turns out.
How exciting! And, they sure do grow much too fast. Our youngest turns two on Sunday - ahhh... I look forward to seeing what you make with the fabric.
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes,
Tonya
I love, love the prints you chose...can't wait to see the project. and that was too cute about the plan toy friends.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, these are going to be some big changes! :) I like change, though...just not too much all at once.
ReplyDeleteOh I can not wait to see what you make from this. Love the colors and the prints. I am like you, I don't move furniture or change things up much. I like my home just the way it is, and it is part of my comfort zone.
ReplyDeleteoh--we're movers & shakers over here. today, the office--again. share pics!
ReplyDeleteI am a changer and a mover : )
ReplyDeleteI hope the kids enjoy their 'new' rooms and I can't wait to see what you create with that sweet fabric!
That is a big change. I hope that Finn loves his new big boy room. I'm excited to see what you're going to make with that cute fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love those adorable japanese fabrics-can't wait to see what you make with them!
ReplyDeleteThat is exciting! We rearranged our girl's rooms just after Christmas and we loved the way it turned out. I, however, love change and am always moving things around. Good luck, I am sure everyone will love the new change!
ReplyDeleteSuzy
change is something I'm slow to come to terms with as well. It's always a struggle for me to move on, mix things, up etc. etc. Having a toddler has relaxed that part of me a bit, but I still struggle with it. So exciting about the big boy bed. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE that fabric! I can't wait to see it finished either! Good luck with the room changes this weekend! Yay for the big boy bed!
ReplyDeleteOur dining room/play space seems to change every 3 months or so, I am one of those who gets restless looking at some things the same way ALL the time. My poor husband just painted the boys room last year and I've been thinking a different color may be better... I wish I were less flighty and more steadfast like you :D
Finn Rocks and so does his mom!!
ReplyDeletebig boy bed! such a milestone!
ReplyDeletethat fabric is so cute. post photos of the creations and changes. can't wait to see.
