I'm finally on to something new for this Yarn Along. The socks and scarf are finally finished, and I'm so over looking at them that I didn't even take a photo of the finished products. I'm really feeling pressed to get to a few Christmas present projects so onward and upward. This yarn that I showed you last week is on the needles now. Pumpkin Pie Baby left me a link for the Koolhaas pattern, and I thought it was just perfect for this hand-dyed unusual green organic wool yarn that I acquired at our sheep farm's farm fest recently.
You can see that I'm just starting to get into the cables so maybe next week there will be more pattern to actually see. (Or if I'm lucky, maybe it will be finished!)
We're still doing quite a bit of seasonal reading right now, including a beautiful poem called November by Alice Cary from one of our favorite poetry books.
I think that yarn and the pattern were meant for each other!
ReplyDeleteThat yarn is scrumptious!!! I love how green it is. Koolhaas will be perfect for it!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad one of my suggestions worked out for you! I want to make a Koolhaas for someone this Christmas. But I don't have the yarn (or recipient) picked out yet. I can't wait to see how it comes along.
ReplyDeleteI love that colour your using!!!! I have something similar and have to get around to using it.
ReplyDeleteChildren's poems are so much more appealing than adults', I think.
ReplyDeletelove that pattern and the wool, so gorgeous.
